IsaBey Cami (Mosque)

IsaBey Cami is 625 year old active Mosque. Isa Bey Cami is unique – neither Selcuk or Ottoman style. Its architect was from Damascus. It is built out of stone and pillars taken from Ephesus and the Artemis Temple. The portal and the brickwork of the broken minaret are beautiful, the peaceful courtyard has attractive stonework with various Ottoman grave stones lying around. The interior is simple and functional, and it is from here that you hear the call to prayer occurring five times a day. This is well worth a visit.
